Serious Illness

If the basic medical clinic of Ganden Jangtse is unable to treat a seriously ill monk then he will need to be brought elsewhere, for example to the larger hospital in Hubli or Bangalore, and so this becomes a costly undertaking.

The high costs of transport, hospital-stay, surgery, medical treatment, etc. are impossible to pay for most. There are no medical insurances, and these costs need to be paid for immediately by the monks themselves.

This fund covers half of the medical costs for monks that need surgery or treatment in Hubli or elsewhere.
